Oversee fleet safety, compliance, and cost‑effective operations across 300+ vehicles

Tasks
-Maintain a proactive approach to safety and compliance. -Prepare reports for executive leadership summarizing fleet KPIs, compliance metrics, and areas for improvement. -Lead monthly review meetings with Operations, Finance, and HR. -Foster teamwork and uphold Stancil’s values of Team, Dedication, Resilience, and Fun. -Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all fleet staff. -Promote and enforce safety programs focused on accident prevention, driver accountability, and regulatory compliance. -Conduct regular 1:1s and team meetings to maintain operational alignment. -Maintain accurate documentation, including registrations, insurance, inspections, and DVIRs. -Prepare and manage the annual fleet budget, tracking TCO and identifying cost-saving opportunities. -Monitor telematics systems (Samsara, Geotab, and Fleetio) to identify trends in safety, utilization, and driver behavior. -Drive performance improvements across utilization, uptime, and total cost of ownership (TCO) metrics. -Identify trends such as underutilization, downtime, and maintenance irregularities. -Oversee preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, and work orders to maintain >95% PM compliance. -Develop and implement comprehensive fleet strategies, including vehicle acquisition, replacement cycles, and lifecycle optimization. -Oversee fuel, maintenance, and lifecycle cost management initiatives. -Align fleet operations with company objectives, budget targets, and safety standards. -Ensure all vehicles are accounted for, properly maintained, and operational across all divisions. -Collaborate with internal reporting teams to review dashboards and analyze performance data—no coding required, but strong data literacy is essential. -Manage vendor contracts and service relationships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality performance. -Lead daily fleet operations through the Shop Manager and Fleet Coordinator. -Ensure full adherence to DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations. -Coach and develop the Fleet Coordinator and Shop Manager, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork. -Partner with HR on staffing, development, and performance management for fleet personnel. -Ensure efficient fleet operations with a focus on cost control, preventive maintenance, and accountability.

What You Bring
-Background in logistics or mechanical systems highly beneficial. -Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and strong organizational skills in all responsibilities. -Fleet management software (Samsara, Geotab, Fleetio) -OSHA safety training certification (preferred) -Business intelligent tools such as Power BI -Advanced proficiency in fleet management software (Samsara, Fleetio, Power BI, or similar). -Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. -Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) -Comprehensive understanding of DOT, OSHA, and EPA compliance requirements. -Minimum 5 years of experience managing transportation or fleet operations. -Experience in Samsara and Geotab highly preferred -Must be detail-oriented, curious, and capable of holding others accountable while maintaining a collaborative team environment. -Proven success leading teams in a high-growth, multi-location environment. -Mobile and telematics devices -Strong analytical, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills.
