Overview

Operate seasonal equipment to maintain roads and infrastructure, including snow removal.

Tasks

-Work with hand and power tools, traffic control devices and mobile equipment such as tractors, graders, mowers, sweepers, augers and other types of equipment used for surface and right of way maintenance and repair. -Productivity tools: Utilize cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Copilot to enhance your productivity and efficiency. -Transport crew and equipment to work sites -Consistently follow all policies and procedures.

What You Bring

-Must be capable of working in an environment in which demands and priorities change rapidly. -The employee is regularly required to stand; sit; walk on a wide range of surfaces; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. -1+ years related work experience in related construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, operating equipment through use of DZ license. -Required to be available for emergency response rotations as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays. -High School Diploma or equivalent -Effectively communicate (in English); both orally and in writing with co-workers and supervisor. -Perform basic mathematical functions. -Valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license and acceptable driving record / AZ license a plus! -Understand instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
