The Role
Overview
Directed traffic at construction sites using flags, signs, and radios to ensure safety.

Tasks
-Inform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety. -Setting up advanced warning signs, barricades, and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off work zones. -Assisting the construction crew in the removal of debris and hazardous materials. -Using hand signals, paddle, and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites. -Assist in removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of construction work. -Appropriately positioning warning and detour signs around construction sites. -Attend regularly scheduled safety team meeting prior to work. -Communicate with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way radio traffic onto a single lane.

What You Bring
-Keen on maintaining safety and have excellent observational skills? -Must pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test as this is a safety sensitive role -Ability to lift and carry 10lbs (30lbs on occasion) -Driving required role, must have a valid driver’s license -Experience driving. -Ability to work as part of a team and to work in harsh weather conditions -Ability to stand for extended periods of time -High school or equivalent (Preferred) -Driver's License (Required) -Must be at least 18 years old -Have or willing to obtain a Washington State Traffic Control Flagger certification -Ability to stand for 8-12 hours a day and lift 50-60 lbs. -WA Flagger Certification (Required) -Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings. -Effective communication skills
