Overview
Conduct asphalt mix design testing, research, and quality control in NATA lab.

Tasks
-Creation of asphalt mix designs within the laboratory. -Performance testing of asphalt mixes. -Sampling and testing of asphalt, aggregates and binders. -The hands-on, day-to-day testing in accordance with specified requirements. -The handling and management of chemicals in line with relevant standards. -Research and development of sustainable mixes. -Reporting, record keeping and calibrations. -Conduct procedures safely and maintain good housekeeping of laboratory and surrounds. -Maintain the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.

What You Bring
The pre-employment process will include a medical check, including drug and alcohol screening. -Current and valid Driver's Licence. -Professional communication, written and interpersonal skills. -Having a demonstrated knowledge of Australian standards for laboratories. You will be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. -A degree in civil engineering or similar would be advantageous. -Willingness to work nightshifts and weekends as required. -Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and achieve strict deadlines.
