Tasks

-Disassemble broken or worn tools to determine which parts must be replaced. The Responsible to work safely and promote safety consciousness amongst team members, contractors, and venders. -Make necessary calculations to establish allowances for spring, lapping, scraping, fitting, heat treating, and finishing. -Carry through to completion the construction and repair of a wide variety of production equipment, special tools, fixtures, etc. -Perform tooling setups, machine operations, requiring a variety of regular and exacting set ups to maintain close tolerances and bench work involving filing, fitting, lapping, scraping, grinding, assembling, and adjusting to obtain satisfactory operation.

What You Bring

-2 years of machinist experience -Must be familiar with the working qualities of metals and be capable of shaping metal parts to precise dimensions within the close tolerances prescribed. -Duties require a thorough knowledge of blueprints and written specifications and use of all types of Machine Shop equipment. -Basic to moderately complicated construction, altering and repairing of a variety of special tools, and fixtures to pierce, bend and cut off aluminum stock. -2 year technical degree in a related field OR
