Tasks

-Help program programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCSs) and human-machine interfaces -Help prepare plans and specifications as well as detailed engineering deliverables (P&IDs, layout drawings, I/O loop and motor control diagrams, lists of cables and instruments, installation details) -Allocate tasks to technicians and drafters assigned to the project, review their work and assess the technical scope -Be involved in commissioning -Help define the scope of projects and proposals -Monitor the project to ensure it remains on time and on budget

What You Bring

-Ability to see beyond established standards -Asset: Knowledge of DCS -Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec -Experience in pre-operational verifications (POVs) and commissioning -From 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in automation, instrumentation and control -Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects -Experience in programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS) -Ability to draft technical documents
