Overview

Inspect and supervise electrical/mechanical works for stormwater, drainage, and pumping stations.

Tasks

-Participate in coordination meetings and liaise with other disciplines to resolve interface issues. -Check calibration certificates and testing instruments used by the contractor to ensure compliance. -Inspect cable routing, containment systems, termination, earthing, and control wiring, ensuring compliance with relevant codes. -Verify as-built data, coordinate with the contractor for redline updates, and ensure accuracy of final documentation. -Monitor HVAC, lighting, power, control, and instrumentation works in pumping stations and utility structures. -Conduct daily inspections of electrical and mechanical installations including pumps, motors, control panels, cabling, piping, valves, and related systems. -Monitor HSE practices during electrical and mechanical activities, ensuring safety compliance at all times. -Monitor and record the installation, alignment, and testing of pumping station mechanical and electrical systems. -Record and report daily manpower, equipment usage, and material deliveries relevant to M&E works. -Ensure that all electrical and mechanical materials and equipment are approved, stored, and handled as per specifications. -Assist the Senior Engineers and Resident Engineer in issuing site observations and NCRs and verifying the contractor’s corrective actions. -Verify that all installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and specifications. -Supervise installation of mechanical piping networks, valves, fittings, and support systems for stormwater infrastructure. -Ensure that all QA/QC procedures, inspection requests (IRs), and ITPs are followed and properly documented. -Witness and record testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance, continuity, performance tests, and functional verification.

What You Bring

-Excellent documentation, coordination, and communication skills with a proactive and safety-focused approach. -Certification in construction supervision or QA/QC inspection is an advantage. -Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. -Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and testing documentation tools -Knowledge of international standards (IEC, NFPA, ASHRAE) and local authority regulations (RTA, DM, DEWA, Civil Defense). -Familiarity with microtunneling interface works and associated pumping station systems is an advantage. -Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspection checklists, and testing protocols. -Prior UAE experience, especially within Dubai, working under RTA and DM standards. -Minimum 7 years of experience in supervision and inspection of electrical and mechanical works for stormwater, drainage, or pumping station projects. -Proven experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of pumps, valves, control panels, switchgear, and mechanical systems.
