Accounting Assistant

Assist with vendor invoicing, expense reports, payroll and accounting tasks

Tasks

-Recommend and implement agreed process improvements. -Assist with company credit card coding and employee follow-up monthly -Maintain files/documentation thoroughly and accurately. -Review, validate, code and check for FAR (Allowable) of employee expense reports. -Set up new projects, make transfers of employee billable hours and/or expenses, and open and close projects, phases and tasks in company system. -Work with the A/R team member to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash -Review, validate, code, input and post incoming vendor invoices in Accounts Payable -Annual 1099 maintenance & assist in reporting -Assist payroll as needed -Respond to all vendor inquiries; Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies -Assist in month end closing -Prioritize and process payments of Employee Expense, Vendor Invoice and Sub consultant bills on a weekly basis

What You Bring

-Experience with BST or other project based accounting software is preferred but not required. -Degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus -Intermediate knowledge of Excel -Two years of related experience as an accounting clerk, specialist or coordinator; AP experience is a plus
