Tasks
-Responsible for originating, structuring, and closing commercial real estate financing transactions. -Exhibit cooperation and teamwork to ensure that goals and objectives are met. -Participate in presentations and pitches with new and existing clients. -Pro-actively develop, foster, and maintain strong relationships with owners, operators, and developers of institutional quality commercial real estate assets for debt and equity origination opportunities. -Work closely with senior originator to grow the capital markets advisory platform. -Use credit skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of a transaction, while creating structural features to mitigate risks. -Utilize the full resources of Marcus & Millichap to assist in originations, underwriting, risk mitigation, and closing. -Team player who can also assist with the structuring and execution of deals brought in by investment sales agents at IPA and Marcus & Millichap. -Responsible for identifying and sourcing new and existing clients in need of commercial real estate debt, equity, and other advisory services. -Monitor micro/macro CRE market conditions, attend CRE related conferences, and participate in industry events to identify and source new financing opportunities. -Provide advisory services to clients with a goal to obtain “trusted advisor status”.

What You Bring
-Appropriate educational credentials. -Independent worker with strong client management skills, excellent accuracy/attention to details, and an ability to adjust to ever-changing business environment. -Ability to contribute to a positive, supportive Marcus & Millichap culture. -Excellent due diligence, analytical, negotiating, deal structuring, and financial skills. -Ability and desire to learn art of negotiating term sheets and closing documents for real estate financing transaction. -Minimum of 1 year of relevant commercial real estate experience, whether advisory, investment banking or other related areas, and a willingness to actively market to and call on potential new client relationships. -High level of integrity and professionalism with a hands-on, proactive style. -Strategic thinker coupled with the ability to dive into details. -Proven track record in, or basic understanding of the process of originating, underwriting and structuring relevant commercial real estate debt and equity mandates greater than $1M. -Effective written and oral communication skills with a direct and open communication style.
