Overview
Assist and develop project programmes, monitor schedules, and support planning for infrastructure projects.

Tasks
As a Graduate Planner, you’ll rotate across key areas to develop your skills and gain the experience you need to progress towards professional accreditation. -Build strong working relationships with project managers, site teams and clients -Assist in the preparation of project programmes at tender and delivery stage -Analyse risks, delays and opportunities to support informed project decisions -Help produce clear programme reports and dashboards for clients and teams -Monitor and update live project schedules to track progress against baseline plans

What You Bring
This role will be based in the Reading region, where you’ll work within our Infrastructure and Thames Water team. Flexibility to travel across sites in the region will be required as part of your development. -Learn how to sequence construction activities and identify the resources needed -Good written and verbal communication, able to engage with a wide range of people -A full UK driving licence (or working towards by the time you start) -Previous placement or site experience (desirable but not essential) -A degree (or expected in 2026) in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (2:1 or above) -Gain experience in digital planning tools such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or similar -Professional accreditation support (e.g. Chartered Institute of Building) -Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a logical approach
