Tasks
Provide sales and marketing support as assigned to meet region goals. This activity will be done using all principles of good salesmanship, including personal client visits, telephone selling, group selling plus participation in technical and professional associations. Responsible for developing proposals for the Company services in conjunction with the Operations Department staff and corporate staff. -Foster a Customer-First Mindset -Perform sales support to consistently meet overall area sales goals. -Actively participate as a committee member. -Make effective customer presentations, proposal pricing is accurate and technically correct. This may include walk-through customer site, and field visits. -Assist in the development of the area sales and marketing plan. -Assist Corporate needs in new service assessments, marketing research and literature development. -Implement area-marketing plan on a monthly basis. -Perform marketing support to promote the Company’s image throughout the industry. -Perform public relations to promote sales. -Bring input and new ideas on Sales and Marketing activities. -Account Management of Electrical Contractors and End Users. -Make regular sales calls on existing major accounts and establish contact with new accounts. -Give effective presentations for the Company’s Training Services and Speaker's Bureau. -Customer Focus– Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customer; Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; Acts with customers in mind; Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

Conduct walk-through of construction sites and work in and around electrical equipment. -Time Management– Uses his/her time effectively and efficiently; sets priorities; values time; separates the critical few from the trivial many and concentrates his/her efforts accordingly. -NFPA 70B & 70E Compliance-Understanding of NFPA 70B and 70E and ability to offer compliance solutions to customers. -Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, and smell. -Listening– Practices attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees. -Project “Take Off” Expertise-Familiarity with electrical plans and specs. -Active participation in trade shows and professional societies. -Electrical Acceptance & Maintenance Testing-Understanding of NETA ATS and MTS standards. -Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 100-pound test sets. -Frequently required to sit, climb, and balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, basic color differentiation and the ability to adjust focus. -Electrical Switchgear Expertise- Good understanding of Electrical Distribution Equipment, LV and MV. -Valid Driver’s License required. -Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, some overnight travel to cover sales territory. -Negotiating– Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups; can settle differences with minimum noise; can win concessions without damaging relationships; can be both direct and forceful as well as diplomatic; gains trust quickly. -Graduate engineer (BSEE/BSME) and no experience. OR Graduate of electrical technical school or equivalent, and five years of similar work. OR High school diploma or equivalent and eight years of similar work. -Valid Driver’s License.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the California locality is between $113,300 to $141,625 per year — salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k.
