Tasks

-Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects and initiatives. -Daily reviewing people files and records to ensure that documents are accurately completed, filed appropriately, and meet compliance standards. -Plans, communicates, and facilitates new hire orientation. -Manage the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records. -Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. -Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation. -Support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. -Handles employment related inquires for applicants, employees, and managers; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff. -Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. -Manages processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation. -Facilitating pre-onboarding and onboarding system entries and new hire MVRs when applicable. -Partners with Territory Leadership to understand and execute Power’s People Division and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

What You Bring

-SHRM CP/SCP Preferred -Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred -Proficient with Apple iWork Suite -Moderate travel may be required -Prior related HR experience preferred -Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail -Strong ability to build business acumen to drive effective HR collaboration -3 - 5 Year experience preferred -Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in People Resources, Talent Management, and employment law. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -High School Diploma or GED required -Proficient with the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications -Strong ability to manage change and guide others through it
