Tasks

-Develop RFIs and clarifications to ensure adequate subcontractor coverage. -Prepare Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) for construction projects, AE studies, or maintenance work during the planning phase. -Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing. -Develop a basis of scope for bidding and estimating purposes. -Track and compare planned vs. actual time and cost results and make recommendations to correct either positive or negative variances. -Prepare and provide estimating services which include conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction level estimates. -Prepare market research studies for cost estimating. -Perform change order estimates.

What You Bring

-Able to estimate in various formats (UNIFORMAT) and divisions (CSI). -Able to work on a client site in the DC metro area. -Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) required -SUCCESS Estimator preferred -ASPE or AACEI Certification preferred. -MII (MCACES) preferred -An understanding of how to use different cost databases such as RS Means. -GSA Cost Estimating Workbook preferred -On-screen take-off (OST) required -Able to pass a HSPD-12 background check.
