Overview

Mid-level structural designer creating 3D steel/concrete models for industrial projects.

Tasks

-Read plans, pick up redlined drawings and notes. -2-dimensional (2D) building layouts and detailing using AutoCAD. -Produce structural plans, elevations, sections, and details for steel and concrete structures.

What You Bring

-Experience with Advance Steel. -3-dimensional (3D) modeling using AutoCAD. -Employment with Merrick is contingent upon completion of a pre-employment background check, MVR check, and drug screen. -Experience with CAD design of steel and concrete structures and foundations. -Practical experience using AutoCAD and Revit BIM software. -Proficiency with Autodesk Revit Structural. -Demonstrate competentcy in 3-dimensional (3D) modeling of steel structures, foundations and equipment using AutoCAD based software. -Must be familiar with commonly used structural steel detailing, foundation detailing, sheet layouts and plan reading. -Minimum four (4) years of experience as a structural designer / drafter. -High School Diploma / GED. -Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. -Proficiency in AutoCAD. -Associate’s degree in related field of study.
