Assist in environmental site assessments, sampling, data analysis, and compliance projects.

Tasks

-Assist in conducting Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), including site inspections, historical research, and report preparation -Adhere to safety and environmental regulations while working in the field -Prepare field notes, draft reports, and laboratory data summaries -Work both independently and in a team setting, collaborating with engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists -Support environmental remediation projects, including data collection and monitoring activities -Support soil, groundwater, and air sampling investigations -Assist in regulatory compliance research and environmental permitting

What You Bring

-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred -40-Hr OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred. UES will subsidize training for selected candidates who are not already certified. -Current student (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or graduate level) pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field -Hands-on field and laboratory experience in environmental consulting -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) -Ability to work in both office and field environments, sometimes in varying weather conditions
