Tasks

Reporting to the Manager WHSEQ - Civil & Infrastructure, this role provides vital support to project teams in implementing WHSEQ systems and driving compliance with company standards. You’ll play a key role in embedding our Safety Certainty 2.0 Program, supporting operational teams and ensuring every site is a safe and productive workplace. -Mentor operational teams in WHSEQ best practices and the use of company tools and systems. -Monitor training and induction compliance and ensure BMS and WHSEQ processes are implemented effectively. -Support development and review of Project Risk Registers, SWMSs and JSEAs. -Participate in audits, toolbox talks, pre-starts and client meetings to promote WHSEQ excellence. -Lead incident investigations, After Action Reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. -Conduct SIFER self-assessments, Safe Act Observations and support risk management processes. -Assist project teams in implementing the Safety Certainty 2.0 Program and SIFER tools. -Prepare and communicate lessons learned, bulletins and positive WHSEQ initiatives.

At McMahon Services, we’re seeking a proactive and passionate WHSEQ Advisor to champion health, safety and quality across our civil and infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll play a key part in influencing positive safety behaviours and ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of compliance and care. -Sound knowledge of WHSEQ principles and civil construction methodologies. -Strong communication and mentoring skills with a proactive, hands-on approach. -Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (mandatory). -First Aid qualification and Construction Industry White Card (required). -Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. -ICAM Investigation and/or Audit qualifications (desirable). -Minimum 3 years’ experience in WHSEQ and 5 years in the construction industry.
