Tasks

-Develop and execute strategies to grow AECOM’s Emerging Technologies services across the US West Region and beyond. -Mentor and develop junior staff within the Emerging Technologies group. -Provide technical oversight and guidance on topics such as connected/automated vehicles, ITS systems, data analytics, traffic simulation, and artificial intelligence/machine learning. -Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal departments and external partners. -Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to inform service offerings and positioning. -Lead proposal development, client presentations, and strategic teaming efforts. -Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. -Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. -Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture. -Manage and oversee the delivery of complex projects involving digital solutions, systems engineering, and emerging transportation technologies. -Identify and pursue new business opportunities with public and private sector clients. -Support recruitment and talent development to build a resilient and future-ready team.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with the Agile method of software development, including Scrum, sprints, product owner, and minimal viable product. -Specific experience with automated vehicles, connected vehicles, and artificial intelligence/machine learning -Certification as a project management professional (PMP) -Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. -Proven experience interfacing with public sector transportation organizations such as Departments of Transportation, transit agencies, or metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) -Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business discipline. -Familiarity with tools such as ArcGIS, PowerBI, Tableau, Python, R, SQL, and systems engineering methodologies. -Bachelor’s of Science or Arts Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years in a leadership role. -Proven experience in managing or deploying emerging transportation technologies, digital solutions, or ITS. -Strong understanding of transportation systems, emerging technologies, and digital platforms. -Experience with business development, client engagement, and strategic planning.
