Research Technician

Overview

Purify proteins, prepare cryo-EM samples, develop assays for DNA repair studies.

Tasks

-Collaborate closely with team members to interpret data and contribute to research strategies. -Make intellectual contributions to project design and execution. -Prepare samples and grids for cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM). -Purify and reconstitute protein-DNA complexes for structural and functional studies. -Develop and perform biochemical assays to characterize multi-subunit protein complexes. -Maintain detailed lab records and participate in regular data discussions.

What You Bring

-BS/MS with 3–5 years of experience OR PhD with 0–2 years in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Structural Biology, or a related field -Familiarity with mammalian cell culture and related functional assays -Experience in biochemical and biophysical assay development -Experience with cryoEM sample and grid preparation -Proven hands-on experience in protein purification, especially of complexes for structural/functional use
