Tasks

-Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, mentoring and professional development. -Interaction with the Project Leads in other sectors or disciplines within the company, to ensure works are delivered as part of a multi-disciplinary team. -Oversee the design deliverables, ensuring ongoing high-quality standards are maintained. -Responsible for the operational and commercial performance of the team, and reporting on same to Director/MD level. -Managing the interaction between project team members, clients, stakeholders and external subconsultants. -Managing the team resources, delegating activities and monitoring project budgets. -Business development including tender and bid management.

What You Bring

-Relevant third level degree in engineering (Level 8 or higher). -Strong experience in structural engineering, with a technical background. -Strong commercial awareness. -Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent. -Must be able to work well under pressure and have a proven track record of meeting deliverable deadlines to client satisfaction. -Flexibility in office location (Dublin/Galway/Cork/Castlebar). -Possess excellent professional/technical knowledge and skills. -Have an ability to lead, manage and coach a growing team. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
