  • Provides expert and technical advice on targeted projects and project start-up meetings.
  • Complies with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
  • Plans, coordinates, and directs facilitation between various stakeholders (PMs, customers, trade partners) to ensure BIM projects are moving in the correct direction, meeting the customers’ expectations, and any potential issues are addressed timely and prior to construction phases.
  • Stays up-to-date on emerging technologies and design tools, maintains knowledge on opportunities for integrating storage and sharing processes, and looks for opportunities for greater efficiencies and workflows.
  • Enforces consistency and quality of work following the established standards.
  • Ensures the work of the team, including accuracy of modeling matches submittals, conduit type matches specifications, compliance with codes, and overall adherence to project specifications.
  • Escalates critical and/or sensitive issues to the Division Manager / Executive Team with recommendations for resolution.
  • Must be able to work directly with customers on all levels to manage customer expectations and drive issues to resolution by ensuring top customer service and a timely response
  • Mentors and supports a team of BIM drafters/detailers through various stages of projects, assigning work as appropriate to their level of skill and to foster continued growth, as well as general overall support.
  • Develops and maintains BIM standards, directly or indirectly, including modeling, coordination, annotation, prefab, deliverable and template creation, for the team and the company.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel formulas and formatting
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud and Navisworks and other electrical, technical, or construction programs
  • Minimum 5 years’ modeling or drafting, or related, experience in the electrical industry
  • Must demonstrate ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and to meet frequent deadlines
  • Familiarity with Windows based operating systems and web based applications, including ERP systems or other construction/financial software packages
  • Must have ability to build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers, and customers
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines
  • Proven leadership experience over a team or department, either in a supervisory or manager capacity
  • Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • High School diploma or GED required; preferred higher education in related field
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, effectively in the English language
