Conduct and review power system studies for onshore/offshore renewable projects up to 220kV.

Tasks

The successful candidate will carry out and review detailed power system studies, ensuring technical quality and compliance with project requirements. You will also provide oversight of third-party vendors performing similar studies, including those using electromagnetic transient (EMT) software. -Develop and review electrical network models for onshore and offshore power systems. -Prepare clear technical reports, presentations, and recommendations. -Ensure all studies align with project specifications, safety standards, and relevant industry codes. -Oversee and review studies completed by external consultants and software vendors. -Support all phases of project development, from concept and FEED through detailed design and execution. -Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, equipment sizing, dynamic motor starting, harmonic analysis, transient stability, arc flash, and protection coordination.

What You Bring

We are looking for an experienced Power Systems Studies Engineer to support a range of onshore and offshore projects. These include local power generation schemes, renewable power systems such as battery energy storage (BESS), and grid connections up to 220kV. -Good understanding of relevant international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and EN. -Proven experience as a Power Systems or Electrical Studies Engineer in the energy, oil and gas, or renewables sector. -Strong technical knowledge of power systems and grid connection design up to 220kV. -Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. -Experience with EMT or other transient simulation tools is advantageous. -Strong analytical, communication, and report writing skills. -Proficiency in ETAP software (KBR standard for all power system studies).
