  • Ensure software requirements comply with EN50128 and SIL 4 safety-critical standards.
  • To lead the software requirements engineering process for Kavach and ETCS SIL 4 products, ensuring compliance with EN50128 and CENELEC standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Gather, analyze, and document software requirements from system specifications and stakeholder inputs.
  • Participate in requirement review meetings and sign-off processes.
  • Prepare and maintain Software Requirements Specification (SWRS) and related artifacts.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, consistent, verifiable, and traceable across design, implementation, and testing.
  • Maintain bidirectional traceability between requirements, design, and test cases using tools like DOORS, Polarion, or Jama.
  • Manage requirement changes through formal change control processes.
  • Work closely with software architects, designers, and testers to ensure correct implementation of requirements.

  • Exposure to EN50128-compliant software lifecycle and formal methods for requirement engineering.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Hands-on experience with Change management tools such as IBM Rational ClearQuest
  • Hands-on experience with Kavach and ETCS SIL 4 software development.
  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
  • Worked on Indian Railway Kavach software and ETCS SIL 4 software modules.
