Tasks

-Help plan and execute corporate events that leave a lasting impression. -Write and post content that informs, inspires, and connects our community. -Capture and create digital assets such as photos and videos that bring our brand to life. -Brainstorm and build our social media presence—your ideas could be the next big thing. -Keep our digital asset library organized and assist with logistics like meetings, notes, and Oracle requisitions. -Support our brand transition project and see how creative strategy becomes reality. -Monitor social media, engage with followers, and help us stay ahead of the conversation with weekly media and social reports. -Manage the YYC Communications inbox and help shape our internal and external storytelling through website and intranet updates.

What You Bring

-Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and knowledge of video editing. -Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. -Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, New Media, or similar discipline. Please note: To qualify as a co-op or internship student, you must be enrolled in a post-secondary program where a work term is a formal requirement of the program and be able to provide documentation to that effect. -Experience with managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter) -Strong communication and organizational skills, with sharp attention to detail. -You’ll need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a RAIC, don’t worry – we’ll help you through this!
