Tasks

-Generating project proposals and participating in project interviews in coordination with marketing staff and senior leadership. -Coordinating and collaborating with senior leaders on client management and strategic business development within the Fort Worth market. -Providing leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for junior staff. -Coordinating and managing the work of team members involved in traffic engineering projects. -Driving efforts to expand the traffic engineering and planning services in the region. -Developing project goals, scopes of work, and budgets to guide project activities. -Keeping abreast of emerging trends in the transportation industry, such as autonomous vehicles, Smart Cities technologies, ridesharing, TSMO, ITS, etc. -Producing high-quality deliverables and communicating project findings to clients. -As services grow in the region, participating in building and leading a local traffic engineering and planning team. -Providing quality control and quality assurance on all aspects of projects.

What You Bring

-Valid Driver's License -Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills -Experience with traffic simulation modeling software packages such as PTV’s VISSIM -Experience with traffic forecasting methods -Extensive traffic engineering experience with a proven ability to lead projects and consistently deliver high-quality results -Experience with urban, multimodal transportation planning and traffic calming -Experience with the predictive methods of the Highway Safety Manual -Experience leading teams in a project client environment -Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation -Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) -Experience with innovative intersection and interchange configurations -Experience with Synchro 10 and traffic signal operations/phasing -Prior project experience with TxDOT -Experience with travel demand modeling software packages such as Caliper’s TransCAD -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar
