Tasks

-Develop and prepare detailed plans, profiles, and cross-sections for transportation projects (traffic signals, lighting, signing/striping, temporary traffic control, Intelligent Transportation Systems, roadways, and intersections). -Review and incorporate survey data, field notes, and design markups into drawings. -Coordinate with engineers, planners, and project managers to meet deadlines and project goals. -Mentor junior staff and provide quality control reviews of drawings. -Apply CAD standards, client requirements, and agency specifications (e.g., DOT, municipal). -Provide technical support for all CAD software -Manage electronic files and ensure compliance with project documentation protocols. -Assist in developing and enforcing CAD standards and workflows.

What You Bring

-5+ years of experience in CAD drafting for civil/transportation projects. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. -Experience with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads preferred. -Strong understanding of transportation/traffic engineering concepts and plan development. -Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. -Familiarity with 3D modeling/visualization tools. -Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation. -Associate degree or technical certification in drafting/design, civil technology, or related field. -Experience with agency standards (DOT, FHWA, municipal).
