The Role

Overview

Oversee building systems, maintenance, vendors, safety and reporting for a government facility.

Tasks

-Attend all company and government required security, safety, quality, and operations training. -Communicate regularly with onsite customer, Project Manager, and COR about day-to-day and project activities. -Proactively perform building, equipment, and real property inspections to identify, document and coordinate maintenance and repairs. -Manage coordination, safety, quality, and scope of work for vendors providing routine, project, and emergency services. -Prepare facility for changing weather conditions. -Periodic weekend work is required. -Know the prime and vendor contracts to align all activities and decisions to the intended scopes of work. -Operate standard building system maintenance and repair equipment and tools, i.e., snow blower, lawn mower, chainsaw, etc. -Respond to emergency services outside regular business hours within one hour. -Generate contract reports and plans for maintenance, repairs, safety and other related activities and requirements. -Perform in-scope maintenance and repairs on facility’s building systems via observation or request, i.e., HVAC, plumbing, leaks, flooring, ceiling tiles, doors, drywall, painting, intrusion, etc. -Attend meetings and prepare meeting minutes as needed. -Perform coordinated remote work, such as required reporting, when the facility is closed during standard business days/times. -Assist to develop scopes of work and requirements for project work.

-Ability to lift 50lbs. and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time. -Be familiar with and practice the company’s core success values. -Communicate early with leadership about concerns or problems, proactively self-manage your role and responsibilities, and consistently deliver predictive high-quality results. -Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization abilities. -At least five years of experience with advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems. -Proficiency with related tools and techniques. -Possess OSHA 30-Hour Certification is preferred. -Industry mechanical trade license is preferred, i.e., HVAC, electrical, plumbing. -Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Facilities Management or related field OR High School/GED with five years of on-the-job experience or coursework in a technical or trade school. -Government contract experience is preferred. -Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills. -At least five years of safety related experience. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of customers, vendors, and team members. -Proficient with Microsoft Office software, such as MS-Word and MS-Excel. -Ability to obtain access to the assigned government facilities.
