Overview
Oversee production staff, safety, equipment, and maintenance at a 24/7 cement plant.

Tasks
-Assist the Production and Maintenance Managers in planning and executing maintenance including during major and minor turn-a-rounds/outages. -Work with the Production Manager and/or Site Manager on Procedures and Best Practices. -Directly responsible for the training and skill development of all employees. -Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude while working with direct reports, co-workers, peers, customers, haulers and others. -Directly responsible for the safety and well-being of all production employees, contractors, and outside haulers. -Responsible for communicating daily objectives and plans to direct reports and ensuring all daily activities are directed towards those goals. -Maintaining documentation including daily and weekly plans, workplace examinations, mobile equipment checks, risk assessments, task training records and permits. -Assist Site Manager and/or Production Manager with Root Cause Analysis reports, Preventative maintenance activities, critical spares list and incident investigation. -Responsible for setting clear expectations of direct reports, providing support to meet expectations and evaluating performance. -Effectively troubleshoot problems in production, process, quality and equipment in cooperation with Production Manager, ensure that these problems are rectified, and downtime is minimized.

-Must be able to meet on-call responsibilities in a 24/7 operation. -5-Panel Drug Screen -Willing to receive training and covering for the Production Manager and Customer Service Representative as needed. -Understanding and complying with applicable Federal, State, Industry, Company and Site safety regulations and standards. -Motor Vehicle Record Check -The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, building rapport with all members of the team including external departments. -Demonstrate leadership in 5S & Lean manufacturing by improving housekeeping, organization of equipment, parts, tools, and supplies. -Good understanding of milling systems and kiln operations. -Fit for Duty Baseline Physical (if applicable) -High School diploma, college degree preferred. -Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience (manufacturing/plant or mining environment preferred) -Ability to pass pre-employment screening which includes physical, background check, and ten (10) panel drug screen. -Must have good leadership skills. -Must be able to work as a part of a team to ensure continuous improvement in their functional area as well as the overall plant operations. -Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail -Must display good employability skills (attendance, job performance, attitude, willingness to work, etc.). -3 years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial work environment -Have a good working knowledge of operating a computer and various software used by the company.
