Tasks

-Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and company safety policies. -Partner with field leadership and superintendents to identify risks, implement corrective measures, and drive a zero-incident culture. -Conduct daily jobsite safety observations, tailboard meetings, and hazard assessments. -Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; complete reports and recommend corrective actions. -Serve as the primary safety resource on active distribution projects, monitoring field activities and enforcing safe work practices. -Deliver safety training, coaching, and mentoring to crews, particularly around energized distribution work and equipment operation. -Assist in developing and maintaining site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures. -Track and report safety metrics, inspection results, and training compliance. -Act as a liaison with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory representatives regarding safety matters.

What You Bring

-Demonstrated ability to lead safety meetings, training sessions, and job hazard analyses. -Willingness to travel between distribution project sites across Texas -Strong knowledge of utility industry safety standards. -Familiarity with energized distribution systems, bucket truck operations, pole climbing, and safe grounding practices. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach crews at all levels. -Your choice of PPO, HSA, FSA -Journeyman Lineman or equivalent experience working in distribution, or 3+ years of field safety experience specific to utility/distribution construction.
