Tasks

-Supervise Asst. Superintendents and evaluate weekly work plans, schedules, and logistics -Collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution -Scheduling: Support Superintendents and Project Managers with CPM scheduling. Learn and apply Last Planner System principles; participate in weekly and daily planning sessions -Organize and lead Superintendent and coordination meetings; ensure cross-functional alignment -Implement and maintain the project schedule; ensure timely updates in coordination with Project Management -Oversee on-site documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance (e.g., drawings, logs, inspection records) -Ensure project budgets for labor, materials, and equipment are aligned prior to project start; collaborate with Project Management to resolve issues -Project Meetings: Attend and participate in safety, coordination, foreman, startup, and PACE meetings. Document and distribute meeting minutes as required -Leadership: Set clear goals and provide mentorship to team members, encouraging a culture of accountability and collaboration -Performance Management: Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and coaching; recognize strong performance and manage improvement plans as needed -Foster collaboration and maintain alignment with company standards and values -Participate and may lead preconstruction planning, including: -Cost Control: Understand and apply change documentation (CCDs, PRs, ASIs, etc.). Support labor cost tracking, procurement, cost coding, and cost history reporting -Lead Lean construction initiatives; guide team in Pull-Planning, standard work practices, and continuous improvement -Engage in business development by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, design teams, consultants, and subcontractors, and participating in industry and McGough-sponsored events -Support project closeout efforts, including punch list completion, commissioning, final inspections, and owner training -Provide comprehensive leadership and oversight of McGough field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on active projects -Hiring & Training: Participate in talent acquisition and onboarding; identify skills gaps and promote ongoing learning -Build and sustain strong working relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders -Conduct and participate in pre-job walkthroughs -Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges, such as delays or labor disputes, minimizing impact on progress -Attend company and project meetings, pursuing ongoing personal and professional development to enhance skills and performance -Manage project budgets and forecasts for labor, material, and equipment, address deviations with Project Management -Champion the culture of safety through leadership in orientations, safety meetings, and regulatory compliance (OSHA and others) -Represent McGough professionally at all events, upholding company standards and serving as a positive ambassador -Assist in preparing final as-built documentation -Subcontractor Management: Assist in processing subcontractor change requests and invoice reviews. Collaborate on performance tracking and compliance -Actively support and participate in Lean events, promoting the McGough Way and fostering a culture of continuous improvement -Support construction process improvements and innovations -Assist with procurement, subcontractor selection, RFI development, and trade scope reviews -Communication: Align team with company values and strategy; ensure transparent and consistent communication -Contribute to pursuits, proposals, and interviews, offering insights on schedule, logistics, safety, and subcontractor selection -Stay informed of industry trends and identify new opportunities -Oversee implementation of the site-specific Quality Control plan in partnership with QC and Project Management teams -Estimating & Bidding: Perform quantity take-offs and assist in bid solicitation and evaluation. Participate in trade scope reviews with estimating and project teams -Actively contribute as a member of the South Dakota Operations Team, collaborating to support shared goals and objectives -Project Documentation: Review all project drawings and specifications. Manage electronic document workflows and shortcuts. Draft and process RFIs; review and process submittals and shop drawings. Participate in BIM coordination and support LEED documentation when applicable. -Compliance & Culture: Promote ethical conduct, enforce policies, and foster an inclusive, safe work environment -Participate in punch list generation and resolution -Manage key external relationships and partnerships -Assist pursuit team in analyzing and preparing for upcoming project opportunities -Participate in QA/AC page-turn sessions to align expectations and execution

What You Bring

-Strong collaboration and communication skills -Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills -Bilingual with the ability to communicate in both Spanish and English -Good verbal and written communication skills and computer skills. -High school diploma or GED required -Demonstrated experience initiating and driving continuous improvement -Current OSHA 30 certification -Thorough and detail-oriented -Two or four-year degree in construction related field -5-10+ years of construction-related experience -Computer literate -Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints -Strong computer skills -McGough Self-Perform Work: Understand and integrate McGough’s self-perform capabilities, warehouse resources, small tools, and equipment rentals into project planning and execution -Must be willing to travel regularly -5-10 years of field-related experience -Completion of the Redbook -Positive attitude, strong work ethic, innovative and forward thinking
