Tasks
-Oversee and continuously refine the curriculum for Electrical Vocational and Apprenticeship programs. -Ensure instructor compliance with academic policies and credentialing requirements. -Teach one or more classes per term, modeling instructional excellence and hands-on learning best practices. -Represent the electrical program in community, workforce, and advisory committee events to strengthen program visibility and reputation. -Partner with the Director of Student Success and Development to monitor academic progress, attendance, and retention. -Recruit, mentor, and evaluate instructors who exemplify professional excellence and commitment to student success. -Evaluate program outcomes, retention, and student performance metrics; implement data-driven improvements. -Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum reflects current job-site needs and practices. -Promote career readiness by integrating résumé development, mock interviews, and employer networking into the curriculum. -Support enrollment and growth initiatives through school tours, employer engagement, and community partnerships. -Incorporate formative and summative assessments aligned with learning objectives and licensing requirements. -Provide training and coaching on instructional best practices, adult learning principles, and safety integration. -Oversee the maintenance and safety of the electrical labs, tools, and equipment in collaboration with the Facilities and Safety departments. -Cultivate a strong student culture of professionalism, accountability, and safety consistent with Propel’s Code of Excellence. -Establish and maintain a long-term vision for the electrical program consistent with Propel’s mission and growth strategy. -Oversee compliance with State and federal apprenticeship standards, including curriculum alignment and reporting requirements. -Facilitate professional development opportunities and foster a culture of instructional excellence. -Align curriculum with national standards (NCCER, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc.) and emerging technologies in the electrical field. -Integrate hands-on learning, simulated job-site environments, and real-world scenarios to strengthen workforce readiness. -Conduct annual program reviews and catalog updates to ensure program accuracy and relevance. -Design, develop, and launch a new 200-hour Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program, integrating foundational theory, safety certifications (OSHA-10, CPR/First Aid), and practical lab experience. -Coordinate instructor assignments and schedules across all electrical training programs. -Implement early intervention strategies for struggling students and recognize achievements through milestone celebrations. -Serve as liaison between instructors, administrators, and external partners, ensuring alignment with certifying entities (TWC, NCCER, DOL, and others). -Maintain up-to-date lesson plans, attendance, and grading records consistent with institutional policies.

What You Bring
-Demonstrated knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and trade applications. -Minimum of 5 years of field experience in commercial or industrial electrical work. -2+ years of teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred. -Ability to mentor instructors and engage diverse adult learners. -Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. -Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician (Texas preferred).
