Lab Services Assistant

Overview

Support biology and chemistry labs with equipment maintenance, inventory, and safety.

Tasks

-Performing shipping and receiving duties in adherence to US DOT and IATA regulations -Fulfilling glasswash and autoclave requests -Reporting abnormalities and unsafe conditions to lab management -Performing eyewash station testing -Documenting maintenance activities in Client's CMMS system -Supporting and stocking laboratory supplies, PPE, glassware, etc. -Consulting with clients on supply chain management -Managing reagents and chemical inventory -Escorting vendors throughout secured spaces -Defrosting or decontaminating lab equipment as needed -Assisting in other lab services operations as directed -Supporting laboratory equipment preventative maintenance -Collecting, transporting, and deploying lab coats

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree in life science, biology, chemistry, or 3 years of relevant work experience -Experience with work order and inventory tracking systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP) -Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision -Proficiency with reagent management systems and chemical inventory management -Physical capability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds, and push or pull furniture weighing 50 pounds or more -Knowledge of MS Office suite -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -2-3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting -Experience with general lab equipment, inventory management, and media preparation -Ability to prioritize, manage, and organize time effectively
