Tasks

s.In addition, this position will analyze protection system operations, and support root cause investigations and development of appropriate corrective action resolutions, in support of operations for unplanned maintenance, mis-operations and/or failur y:The Protection & Control (P&C) Engineer and/ or Senior Engineer is responsible for completing activities and assignments associated with the design and operation of protection and control systems necessary for the safe and reliable operation of the transmission and distribution systems that meet the mission and objectives of client (utility, commercial, industrial and renewable developer) organization -ions.Manage and perform work activities in a self-sufficient manner without frequent guidance and overs -ards.Specify materials associated with new or modified Protection and Control systems for assigned proj -ects.Develop, calculate, and document settings and logic for protective relays, logic processors, feeder reclosers, and switches necessary to support system reliability projects and initiat -ives.Perform coordination studies by modeling and analyzing electric system elements and their protection systems using fault simulation soft -ware.Analyze protection system operations during transmission and distribution system disturbances in support of Substation Technical Event anal -ties:Review and evaluate proposed changes to existing electric facilities to ensure compatibility with established client protection system standards and pract -ices.Create new Protection and Control system designs in accordance with client stand -ight.Perform peer checks of other group member designs and relay sett -ysis.Interface with Planning, Operations and Field personnel to support their efforts to plan, operate and maintain transmission and distribution system construction, maintenance and operat
