Tasks

-Manage small to large-scale projects from concept through construction -Oversee design activities during the Construction Administration phase -Build, guide, and lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary land development engineering team -Identify and pursue new project opportunities and assist in proposal preparation -Lead and develop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for projects in institutional, healthcare, higher education, private real estate, parks and recreation, and local government sectors -Prepare and review land development design and permitting documents -Maintain strong client relations and oversee project financial performance -Provide consistent quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) throughout project lifecycles -Deliver high-quality, technically sound projects that foster long-term client relationships -Mentor and teach junior engineers, offering both technical direction and career development support -Attend and lead meetings with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to discuss design and permitting issues

What You Bring

-PE (Professional Engineer) licensure in North Carolina required -Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills -Experience with private real estate, institutional, and local government projects -Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite -BS in Civil Engineering or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred -Critical thinker with strong multitasking abilities -Relevant experience with higher education, healthcare, parks and recreation, and/or local government sectors -Experience with GIS systems is a plus -8 – 11+ years of experience in site/civil engineering design, project management, and team leadership -Strong background in site layout, grading, utility design, and stormwater management -Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills -Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail -Self-motivated and passionate about delivering outstanding results
