Tasks

Join a team focused on advancing battery diagnostic technology and ensuring the reliability and performance of cutting-edge systems. This position is ideal for engineers with strong electromechanical skills who enjoy hands-on work in a lab setting. In this role, you’ll lead validation activities for a range of battery testers and diagnostic platforms supporting both traditional 12V ICE vehicles and high-voltage EV battery modules. -Define and manage validation schedules to meet hardware development milestones. -Serve as the primary contact for external test labs handling regulatory, certification, and environmental testing (e.g., thermal, vibration, EMC). -Develop and execute validation test plans for electromechanical systems, including test equipment with embedded electronics, sensors, relays, and power electronics. -Diagnose and resolve issues by analyzing electrical signals and mechanical performance; lead root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams. -Lead compliance, qualification, and certification processes for design releases. -Prepare detailed validation documentation, including plans, test protocols, reports, and technical summaries. -Utilize test tools such as oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, power supplies, thermal chambers, and custom fixtures to perform validation testing. -Build and maintain hardware test setups involving DC power systems, loads, cabling, enclosures, thermal management, and mechanical interfaces.

What You Bring

-Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware validation of electromechanical systems -Strong understanding of validation methods and lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DAQ, thermal cycling, high current load testing) -Experience with LabVIEW or equivalent for test automation. -BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline -Excellent technical communication and teamwork skills -Proven track record diagnosing mixed signal, power, and electromechanical issues in lab environments

Location: Burr Ridge, IL 60527 (Local-Hybrid Work Schedule) Hire Type: Direct Hire Salary Range: $105k-$115k (flexibility)
