Tasks

-Mature selected opportunities from inception through to investment decision by: -Creation of presentations of appropriate level of detail for internal management and external partners -Interface to LCS' customers and stakeholders (government, partners), developing and strengthening relationships and building a deep and diverse network across different parts of the value chain -Understand, construct, negotiate, execute and operationalize agreements for the commercialization of new opportunities in Low Carbon Solutions (LCS). -Leveraging insights from abovementioned teams to converge on attractive business case, able to integrate commercial, regulatory and technical attributes while progressing opportunities. -Provide competitive market insights to help support market strategies and analysis. Identify potentially attractive LCS business opportunities for evaluation across multiple products and value chains (Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Hydrogen (H2), Ammonia (NH3), and Low Carbon Data Centers) -Represent ExxonMobil LCS in trade associations, government engagements, as well as partnering with other functional departments for our attendance, and participation at conferences and trade fairs to represent company and network development -Being a key internal interface to ensure alignment and as necessary, obtain endorsements -Working closely with our projects, public and government affairs, law, finance, marine, supply chain and operations team to advance projects as one ExxonMobil

What You Bring

-Financial (cash flow) modelling or business case modelling -Ability to balance corporate intent, partner and counterparty desires to deliver pragmatic solutions -Sector interest: Demonstrated prior interest in energy (incl. clean energy), power (incl. renewables), infrastructure (incl. digital infrastructure), chemicals with some understanding of techno-commercial aspects of large projects -Team-oriented and collaborative, with experience navigating multi-matrix organizations -Creation, comprehension, navigation and manipulation of Excel models -Negotiating and influencing: Experience canvassing input from and influencing internal stakeholders, negotiating with external counterparties -Some deal execution and prior negotiations experience -Undergraduate degree in engineering, economics, business, finance or climate studies preferred -Communication: Effective communicator, with ability to distil key messages and engage with different audiences -International experience with joint ventures and other partner frameworks -Exposure to review of, and preferably marking up legal agreements, including term sheets and long-forms -Economic analysis: Analytically rigorous on financial modelling, understands levers, risks and sensitivities to value -At least 3-5 years prior experience in -Behavioral: Collegial, collaborative, adaptable, analytical, proactive -Direct experience with oil & gas, power, CCS or H2 value chains -Comfortable navigating ambiguity and influencing without authority -Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external counterparts -Commercial design: Deconstruct and simplify complex problems, thinks about the most effective contractual nexus to effect solution -Candidate should have prior experience working with: -Master’s in Business Administration, Masters in Management from a world-class institution -Demonstrates courage and conviction when raising ideas -Business acumen: Clearly articulates how money is made in any venture, finds ways to improve it, strong understanding of value chain opportunities, thinks about how to capture these -Detail-oriented: Understands intricacies of linkages between economics and commercial, ensures that commercial intent comes through in contracts -Self-starter with high accountability bias
