The Role

Overview

Load and transport donation items, assist truck driver, and support warehouse tasks.

Tasks

-Attend community and GMHFH events and assist with set up. -Safely transport and load donations from donors’ property into the ReStore truck. -Impart GMHFH’s mission on donors and provide proper documentation for their donations. -Greet customers and assess the condition of donations that are scheduled to be picked up. Approve or deny donations based on if they are in good, sellable condition. -Follow directions from the Truck Driver with regards to donation pickups or additional tasks. -Once pickups are completed, assist with warehouse operations, including pricing donations received or moving product. -Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean. -Follow best practices for loading donations into the truck to ensure that they don’t shift during transport. -Strictly follow set procedures relating to safe vehicle operation or accident reporting. -Collaborate with and assist the Truck Driver with planning and executing pickups.

What You Bring

-High school diploma preferred. -Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in an outdoor environment loading goods into a box truck. -Experience handling heavy goods and loading goods for transport preferred. -Dependable and able to stick to a schedule. -Excellent customer service skills to respond to any questions or concerns. -Able to communicate well with staff and donors.
