Tasks
-Review and certify GC Pay Applications. *example provided -Review status on turn-around of RFls and Submittals from EOR to GC, and vice versa. Normally done in conjunction with the Weekly meetings -Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure. -Perform final check of math associated with the pay application -Resolve discrepancies with the GC -Set guidelines for meetings and written communications -Verify that all other deliverables have been received and are complete and correct -Hydrostatic testing of tanks and water containing concrete structures -Review and certify Change Orders (COs) and Potential Change Orders (PCOs) -Review PCO and costing backup for completeness and accuracy -Assist in processing and expediting Requests for Information (RFls). EOR has prime responsibility for review and approval -Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. -Take and file daily photos of construction activity and progress. Document conditions which will not be viewable later (example — underground piping) -Work around hazardous equipment. -Prepare project communications plan -Assure that all Building Permits required are obtained -Prepare and distribute agendas and conference notes. “example provided -Make sure all Building Department inspections are happening -Make sure the work complete claimed is accurate -Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. -Organize and conduct regular job progress status meetings -Participate with GC personnel in QA/QC activities -Low-pressure testing of gravity piping -Review test reports of 3rd party testing lab for spec compliance -Monitor 3rd party testing to assure correct number and types of tests are being conducted -Review earned value (% complete) for all SOV line items -Evaluate validity of PCO/CO request. (Is there a valid need for a change, and does the proposed change meet the need? Is the proposed change the best and most cost-effective way to meet the need?) -Verify materials/equipment and associated documentation for any stored materials claims -When the Owner(s) are in concurrence with the PCO, execute a formal CO. Usually, a CO will include more than one PCOs but not always -Review status of Building Permits (permits are generally a GC responsibility) -When all issues are resolved with the GC, review the PCO with the Owner(s) -Review, certify and file the field testing reports. -Note and document construction issues -Sign and certify the final pay application -Verify permit close-out, and that Certificates of Occupancy are obtained, where applicable -Perform a “reasonableness review". Typically, a separate budgetary estimate to make sure the PCO cost is fair and reasonable -Coordinate with GC, Owner(s) and EOR on solutions. Sometimes resulting in PCO/CO -Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.

What You Bring
-Concrete pre-pour documentation -5+ years as Superintendent with degree, or 8+ years without. -See and hear naturally or with correction. -Water pipe pressure testing (mostly DIP, SS and PVC) -Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties. -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. -Gas pipe pressure testing -At least 3 years field experience related to construction -Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. -OSHA 30-hour Training — Construction Safety and Health -Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc. -Experience working for a GC in a project engineer/CM role is a plus -Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions. -Requires working in extremely bright or low lighting conditions -Requires repetitive movement. -May require work above 5 feet in height. -BS in Civil engineering w/ 10 years' experience -Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.
