Ensure the assurance of quality, consistency, and integrity of the electronic handover of deliverables.
Assist in the design of building related mechanical systems including HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems using applicable codes, standards, and reference materials.
Assist with periodic field reviews of construction and construction administration tasks (conduct shop drawing reviews, respond to RFIs, prepare documentation for site instructions or change requests).
Work closely with the Mechanical Engineer and engineering group in recommending the best use of project tools to achieve project objectives, troubleshoot and resolve issues with the project tools.
Prepare contract drawings, schematics, schedules, details, and sketches from conceptual design through to construction.
Work as a contributing team member within a multidiscipline team.
Produce aspects of mechanical design and drawings in REVIT, as well as in AutoCAD.
Performs thorough quality control of construction documents.
Perform field surveys for drawing development, site reviews and asbuilt drawings.
Communicate with other team members and become familiar with Stantec standards to complete assignments and projects in a timely manner as required.
Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual.

Understand and execute and/or direct work within Stantec's quality control guidelines.
Good understanding of building mechanical system concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
Ability to work with others on large complex projects.
Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.
Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
Good time management skills and able to work in a fastpaced work environment. Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering and a license, or plan to become licensed to practice in the Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut.
Ability to work independently with engineering supervision on small projects.
Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
A.Sc.T. Technical/Technologist Designation considered an asset.
Knowledge or familiarity with LEED standards, ASHRAE, ASPE and NFPA would be considered an asset.
Selfmotivated and selfstarter with a strong work ethic.
Strong desire to learn and work in a dynamic and fastpaced team environment.
Comply with Stantec's HSSE program, with a focus on safety in the field.
Knowledge or familiarity with National Building Code, National Plumbing Code, National Fire Codes, National Energy Code, and local amendments/supplements to these documents.
