FAB Machine Operator Transformer Wind- 2nd Shift

Overview

Operate fabrication equipment to produce transformer parts on 2nd shift.

Tasks

-Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily -Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations -Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts -Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation -Inspect final component against work specifications -Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions -Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor -Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment -Provide on-the-job training for new Operators -Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment -Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings -Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines

What You Bring

-Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead -Must have experience reading calipers, protractors and tape measures -Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance* -DMM experience -High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution -No relocation is being offered for this role.  All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility.  Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. -Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. -Must have experience reading blueprints -Previous experience in Fabrication -Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), DMM, etc. -Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision -Machining Certificate -Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
