Junior structural/bridge engineer assisting design, analysis, and field work.

Tasks

-Performing computations for structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other structural components -Report and memo writing -Conducting assessments and inspections of bridges, culverts, and other project components -Cost estimating -Construction support through review of contractor shop drawings and submittals -Preparing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents -Attending project meetings with internal project teams and external clients -Field observation of construction for adherence to construction plans and specifications -Collaborating with the engineering team to solve complex problems for the structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, and other transportation infrastructure projects -Design and layout of project components in 2d and 3d

Requirements

  • bachelor’s
  • eit
  • microstation
  • aashtoware
  • mathcad

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent -EIT certification is preferred -Proficiency with Microstation, AASHTOWare, MathCAD and other structural engineering software a plus but not required
