Overview

Tasks
-Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion -Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance -Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies -Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools -Interpret and work from schematics, technical drawings, and conceptual guidance from researchers -Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with job specifications and local codes -Build, test, and maintain both field-deployed and benchtop equipment and instrumentation -Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used -Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics -Fabricate custom communication cables tailored to specific instrumentation requirements

What You Bring
ERG is seeking a skilled and reliable Site Electrician to join our team and support our client site operations in RTP, NC. This position will lead and support a wide variety of electrical systems design and installation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on-site, ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and safety standards. The successful candidate will operate in a fast-paced, client-facing role that will require innovative thinking and rapid implementation. -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation -Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools -A minimum of 20 years of work experience in an electrical focused role -Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments and with external stakeholders -Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail -Skilled in the use of soldering tools and compression terminals to ensure high reliability -connections -Proven experience as a site or industrial electrician -Ability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening -Valid electrician license/certification (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician) -Ability to read technical documents and blueprints -Extensive experience in implementing organizational quality assurance plans and quality management practices -Physical stamina and ability to work in various site conditions -Experience in writing scientific, technical, quality assurance, and health & safety documents -Proficient in making precision compression and soldered connections for both power -and signal wiring applications
