The Role

Overview

Oversee budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting for infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Implement robust cost control procedures to ensure projects remain within budget parameters -Track project progress including production quantities, ensuring milestones are met, and identify potential delays -Conduct monthly project reviews with field teams to validate costs and progress -Identify potential risks to project budgets and schedules and develop mitigation strategies -Analyze project performance metrics including earned value, cost variance, and schedule impact -Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective action strategies -Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets from contract inception through closeout -Assist with project setup, including WBS creation and cost code development -Maintain project financial records in compliance with company policies and industry standards -Facilitate communication between project managers, team members, and other stakeholders -Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure cost data accuracy and schedule alignment -Monitor subcontractor billing, change orders, and contract compliance -Create detailed financial forecasts and cash flow projections for infrastructure projects

What You Bring

-Experience with job cost management and WIP reporting -Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Finance, or related field (preferred) -Proficiency in construction project management software (Procore preferred) and advanced Excel skills -Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle, contracts, and billing processes -3-5 years of projects control or related experience in the construction industry -Understanding of construction terminology, scheduling concepts, and field operations -Experience with change order management and subcontractor billing processes -Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy -Self-motivated professional who thrives in fast-paced project environments -Problem-solving abilities with focus on process improvement and efficiency -Strong communication skills with ability to present financial data to diverse audiences
