Senior Quality Engineer

Tasks

-Support with the implementation and sustain for the Quality Initiatives, including PPAP and CAPA processes to support the Quality Lead Indicators. -Work as a team with the support departments in order to define necessary actions to meet customer requirements. -Participates in the auditing of internal Quality Systems and completes part approval documentation to assure that customer requirements are met in new or modified products and processes, including Suppliers’ Quality Systems. -Effective management of the QA resources through Eaton Leadership Model. -Participates in product development and launch activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing. -Provides Quality customer interface and expertise to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied, including assisting in complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action determination. -Coordinate evaluations in the supplier performance to address those where risks are being identified with the Supplier Quality Team. -Participates in the design, procurement, maintenance, and evaluation of gages, measurement instruments, devices and test equipment. -Support Eaton Initiatives and practices for the Development of People by using tools as the Succession Plans, OCA, QLI, CIF, APQP and EBS tools. -Participate in the Customer Scorecards Review and support actions to improve their satisfactions as applicable -Supports Supply Chain Management organization relative to the collection and analysis of supplier quality data providing expertise and assists suppliers with product and process quality requirements. -Investigates and eliminates causes of quality problems and follows up on corrective actions, including issues with suppliers.

What You Bring

-Good communication skills -High Level of Interpersonal skill to work effectively with others. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering -Previous Aerospace experience preferred. -Computer Skills -Bilingual English/ Spanish -Knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (ISO9001, AS9100) -Blueprint reading knowledge -Understanding of problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis) -Green belt certified. -MS or MBA -5 years Quality System experience in Aerospace Industry Preferred.
