Lead West Midlands cost team, delivering cost management for large residential projects.

Tasks

-Delivering the full range of construction stage cost management services -Advising design colleagues on the cost implications of alternative design options -Monthly reporting on P&L -Leading in all aspects of Cost Management -Leading Value Engineering and risk workshops and providing strategic cost advice to both -Development of a cost plans for a complex project utilising Cost X estimating software -Leading and managing a team of cost managers -Providing strategy procurement advice to clients -Building relationships with design colleagues, Client stakeholder and the Contractor

What You Bring

-Strong leadership skills -Experience of utilising Cost X or similar estimating software with Revit models -Be willing to complete S/C level of security clearance on appointment (to assist Defence Sector) -A proven ability to deliver to deadlines -Strong communication skills including the ability to manage cost reporting meetings with senior client representatives -UK driving licence -Full membership of the RICS / CIOB or +10 years’ experience in specialist subject area -Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Software, including Excel, Project and Word -Experience of working on major projects (£50m+) -Ideally experienced in the cost management of NEC3/4 and JCT construction contracts
