Technician II

Overview

Maintain and repair solar plant equipment, manage subcontractors, and ensure WHS compliance.

Tasks

-Work with a market leader in solar O&M -Timely documentation of works performed using supplied framework. -Continuous reporting of work status and scheduling to Regional Manager and Solar Asset Manager, including complete and detailed documentation of all work performed, involving daily time tracking and use of CMMS. -Maintenance of inverters or associated electrical components. -Promptly respond to and execute necessary repairs of faulty equipment. -Interface with, and management of subcontractors and other workers on site, including site inductions, daily pre-start meetings, etc. -Work alongside Engineering team on the SCADA. -Replacement of key components, such as modules and inverter components

What You Bring

-Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills. -Being able to efficiently execute tasks, as defined by a maintenance plan. -Trade Qualification – Electrical. -Knowledge and experience in Solar Farm O&M, plant and equipment. -Reliable, organized and team focused. -Current Electrical License (unrestricted). -Demonstrate strong organization skills with excellent problem solving and effective communication skills. -Experience with Data Communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers) -Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, drawings and specifications. -Willing to travel to other projects, if required -WHS reporting and adherence to WHS protocols as established by NovaSource policy. -Valid First Aid (CPR) & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue. -Current & Valid Driver’s License. -Construction White Card. -Willing to travel. -Have the tenacity and a can-do approach. -Knowledge of current industry standards, specifications, industry best practice and Australian Standards.
