Tasks

-Assess and report on the condition of buildings, parkades, and sites, providing actionable insights for clients. -Provide engineering support throughout the construction process. -Lead remediation and rehabilitation projects for all building types. -Assess and report on the condition of buildings, parkades, and sites. -Design and commission innovative building envelope systems. -Lead and conduct site reviews during construction, ensuring quality and sustainability in building projects. -Collaborate with clients, contractors, sub-consultants, and colleagues to deliver innovative building science solutions. -Share knowledge and support the growth of the Building Science practice through mentorship and participation in our Centres of Excellence (COE) program. -Drive remediation and rehabilitation projects for a variety of building types, making a tangible difference in communities. -Apply sustainable thinking and best practices to every project, contributing to a greener future. -Conduct reserve fund studies for condos and communities.

What You Bring

-5+ years of experience in engineering or construction, with a focus on building systems design, consulting, renewal, or advisory roles. -Knowledge of building materials and construction processes for building envelopes, cladding systems, roofs, and parking structures. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -A degree or diploma in Building Science Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience. -Experience with Building Condition Assessments and/or Reserve Fund Study reporting. -Registration with APEGA or ASET is an asset. -A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites within Western Canada and the North, with flexibility for extended or varied hours as needed.
