Tasks
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, complete design assignments following specific design/drafting guidelines with extreme attention to detail. Work efficiently to meet deadlines while ensuring quality and completeness of work. -Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues. -Support field teams with installation drawings and troubleshooting documentation. -Share knowledge of drafting standards and product designs with team members. -Maintain drawing files within the company storage system, ensuring proper categorization, revision control, and accessibility. -Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using the latest version of AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, and/or other design software (SolidWorks, etc.). -Create and maintain proposal/bid package drawings for pre-award communications. -Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success. -Stay current with drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices. -Perform general system calculations and ensure designs meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. -Revise and update drawings based on engineering feedback and field data. -Prepare layout drawings, fabrication details, and installation schematics that meet company standards. -Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and internal quality guidelines. -Participate in project kickoff and production meetings to understand scope, timelines, and deliverables. -Assist in the development of submittal, fabrication, and as-built drawing packages. -Seek out solutions to design challenges and contribute to process improvements.

What You Bring
The CAD Technician is responsible for the creation and delivery of drawings meeting the technical requirements of projects. Working closely with project engineers, managers, and applications engineering, this role supports the design and delivery of wastewater treatment systems and components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within a dynamic engineering environment. The right candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of direct AutoCAD or other design software (SolidWorks, etc.) experience and is comfortable working for multiple professionals. They will be a mature and confident individual who is technically savvy, and is effective as a behind the scenes supporter. Possessing strong communication skills, being well organized, analytical, detail oriented, teachable, and supportive are other key characteristics you will bring to this role. -3+ years of direct AutoCAD or other design software (SolidWorks, etc.) experience. -Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD LT; experience with Vault, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Revit is an asset. -Manufacturing CAD Certificate, Drafting/CAD Certificate , Diploma or Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. -Knowledge of engineering principles and wastewater treatment systems considered an asset. -Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
