The Role

Overview

Manage commercial administration, contracts and cost control on the Banwell Bypass project.

Tasks

-Produce detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) -Produce and maintain a detailed ‘Cost Plan’, tracking and forecasting expenditure, including detailed schedules of Subcontractor ‘liabilities’ and use of Oracle based cost analyses. -Produce Subcontract documentation including negotiation of terms and conditions, prices and programme, and subsequently manage the subcontract works packages. -Manage change in a timely manner in accordance with the form of the contract, including the production and submission of Compensation Event Quotations. -Produce and issue all commercial notices, to both the Client and Subcontractors, as required by the form of contract. -Participate in creating a safe working environment. -Apply the principles of ‘Doing the right thing’ in maximising value and profit.

What You Bring

-Have a good appreciation of standard forms of contract, and solid knowledge of construction processes. -Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member, working towards a full membership (desirable). -Relevant degree and/or experience of working in a relevant Commercial environment. -Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. -Strong IT skills including Excel, Word and Contractual and Cost Management Systems.
