Tasks

-Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, including bidding, contracting, and project management. -Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals and growth plans. -Advise ownership and executive team on risk management, capital allocation, and long-term planning. -Manage relationships with banks, bonding companies, and insurance providers. -Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements. -Improve internal controls, accounting systems, and reporting processes. -Oversee WIP (Work in Progress) reporting, change order tracking, and revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP. -Mentor and support accounting and finance staff. -Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial performance reports. -Oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling for multiple projects. -Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate job costing and timely billing. -Support bonding capacity reviews and compliance with loan convenants. -Evaluate project profitability, coast structure, and return on investment. -Work collaboratively with leadership on financial training, process improvement, and systems integration (e.g., Quickbooks, Procore and Kojo.

What You Bring

-Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. -Minimum 10+ years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the construction industry. -Proven experience with job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of completion accounting, and project-based financil reporting. -Strong understanding of construction contracts, including AIA billing, retainage, and subcontractor management. -Experience with construction-specific software systems is highly desirable. -Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
