Tasks

-Frequently communicates with co-workers and clients, exchanging accurate information. -Mentor junior project managers through guidance, knowledge sharing, and role modeling. -Support workforce planning, including hiring, mentoring, coaching, and performance management. -Scope Management: Develop and maintain project scope and WBS. -Reporting: Monitor and report progress, cost, and schedule performance. -Schedule Management: Develop project schedules, coordinate work assignments, and track progress. -Occasionally moves about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. -Ensure adherence to safety procedures and policies. -Closeout: Conduct lessons learned and finalize project financial closeouts. -Build and maintain strong professional rapport with clients and project teams to ensure satisfaction and secure future work. -Relationship Management: Maintain productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. -Participate in departmental initiatives such as process improvements, budgeting, and policy development. -Collaborate with GIS Production Manager, Project Leads, and project teams to anticipate project demands and address issues proactively. -Maintain awareness of billable targets and communicate availability or need for support. -Manage core project management functions: -Cost Management: Review timecards, oversee invoicing, and monitor project profitability. -Change Management: Prepare and process change orders.

What You Bring

-Capacity to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. -Must be able to identify and distinguish colors, distances, and spatial relationships. -5+ years of project management or equivalent experience. -Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Smartsheet, and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Project Insight). -Model strong leadership and a servant-leadership mindset to promote accountability, collaboration, and high-quality performance. -Travel up to 20% of the time. -Experience in the natural gas or utility industry required. -Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. -Training in project management methodologies, leadership, and project management software. -Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. -Strong analytical skills for reviewing data, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance. -Ability to travel and work extended hours as required for projects. -Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging clients, management, and project teams. -Ability to lead, organize, prioritize, and delegate assignments effectively. -Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. -Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. -Experience in preparing professional reports and managing client interactions.
